Happy Birthday or Anniversary or New Year or….

I am not sure what to call it, but last weekend I renewed my domain and reserved my spot on the internet for another year and I just wanted to take a moment and celebrate.

Woot!

Yes, two years ago I took a leap of faith, and with the help of FCC’s amazingly tech-savvy Fred to help me, we got this site up and running. Ok…He got it up and running, I just made up obtuse passwords and tried to write down notes on what he was saying that still baffle me.

I had no idea what I was doing.

I still don’t.

If I had waited until I actually figured out WordPress and all the gizmos and stuff that appear on my “Dashboard”….we would still be waiting.

Like every appliance or project I have ever started, I kept staring at the directions until I just gave up and jumped in.

Through it I have learned a few things….like….

if you delete the photos from your media library they also disappear from the posts…hence if you go back in the archives there are still a few with blank photo boxes waiting for me to finish finding the original pic….

and….

there is no way to know who is reading this…which means I have been absolutely stunned to run into people or hear from people that take the time to read what I write here….

and…

the things that I think are almost too lame to even publish tend to touch a place in many people that continues to bring me to my knees that God could use the stuff I struggle with to touch other’s lives….

and…

you have no idea how often your random comments on the site or kind words over the coffee machine at church or a text that lets me know God used the post that day in your life mean to me.

So here is to another year ahead on the Journey…
