Farewell to 2025 with a prayer of gratitude <3

We are enjoying that time between Christmas and New Year’s Day and I hope you are as well. 

Around here, this it the time when I can enjoy just sitting and looking at our pretty tree and decor without any pressure to finish another task. I have worked a fun puzzle, knitted and enjoyed finishing up the Christmas goodies and leftovers guilt free, because calories do not exist in this time of transition to a new year. 

Or so I have heard. 

We took a quick trip to Tulsa with two of the grands to meet up with Uncle John and have a Christmas with him. We got to spend time with those four people we love yesterday and we have a couple of fun plans for just the two of us in the next few days. 

That will take us to Saturday when all the sports pick up again and January will be upon us. 

But for today, I penned a prayer in my journal a little while ago as I sipped my coffee and I thought I would share it with you as we bid 2025 adieu. 

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for this past year. Thank You for Your provision every single day. 

Thank You for health and food. Thank You for Your love, care and protection.

Thank for people to love and places to serve. 

Thank you for the return of love and service back to us through family and friends. 

Thank You for laughter and tears. 

Thank You for grace and forgiveness. 

Thank you for times of both growth and rest. 

Thank You for your kindness and goodness to us all. 

Thank You for small delights, big surprise and all the moments that made up the days of 2025. 

Thank You for the year ahead and the promise of your faithfulness, mercy and grace that go before us. 

Thank You, Lord, You have been good to us.

We love You and are thankful for Your love for us <3 

Amen
