A good listen for you <3
Good morning!
Russ is doing better and we are trusting the soreness from procedure is decreasing and that it did what it was supposed to do. Will keep you posted.
We are kind of poster children for retirement boomers and needing Physical Therapy, I think. As I was finishing up PT for whatever I did to my knee in the spring, he was starting his for his back again.
When our appointments crossed over it was comical to be health dating. Gave our therapists a laugh for sure.
My knee is finally back to functioning and I can walk again without having to stop and call for backup.
The past few days I have enjoyed listening to podcasts again while I walk and I found a good one I would like to pass along.
Ruth Chou Simons has always been a favorite of mine. I love her artwork in the books she writes and her words are artistically chosen as well. But she speaks truth. And she speaks it in a calm and reassuring, down to earth way.
So when I discovered that she has done a summer series podcast, I was thrilled.
For 12 weeks she is focusing on how God meets us in different places that we are all quite familiar with…fear, discontentment, chaos, exhaustion…you get the idea.
Each podcast addresses how these affect us or present themselves in the ordinary daily life of the average person. Ruth then addresses a series of Scripture passages that relate to God in all of this and finishes with a quote from one of her books.
That being said, that is the ONLY advertisement in these 10-12 minute segments. If you are not a fan of podcasts because of the back and forth conversations, this is not like that.
It is just good words of encouragement and God’s truth spoken over you. Her prayers are also welcome as she wraps it up each time.
I use Apple podcast on my phone but I am sure you can find on her website and they are free to listen.
What and who is encouraging and teaching you this summer????
Let me know!
Have a great weekend <3
Here is the link to her website – looks like you can access her podcasts through this on a variety of platforms <3
