A word in passing that preaches to my soul <3

Friday was a beautiful June day here on the prairie.

I was working and noticed most of our visitors were wearing a light jacket or long sleeved t’s.

Several mentioned they were headed home to work in the yard.

We discussed the proliferation of weeds this year as the rains have been consistent and not much time between to get out and treat or pull them.

As I chatted with one lady, we talked yard work. We also discussed many things besides gardening as she shopped for cards and checked out what was in the shoppe. We finished up with a mutual affinity for mixing natural weed and grass killer from kitchen products instead of using the heavy chemical kind.

Completing her purchase she paused as she headed toward the door.

She turned back and said with a bit of passion that there is nothing quite like pulling a weed though and knowing you got the whole root of it.

Over a decade older than I am and petite like my mom, she shook her head and smiled.

And I think we both knew that applies to more than just the kind that sprout in your landscaping.

Kindred spirits are a blessing wherever they appear over the course of a day.

Treasure those encounters that preach a little sermon to you as you go along your way.

Blessings friends <3
