Thursday Randoms <3

I am sitting here with my last cup of coffee, curlers still in my hair and checking the clock so I can scoot out of here in time for an end of year meeting during second hour. 

So throwing some Randoms out and then it’s off to the races. 

Random #1

Can we discuss the weather lately? 

On Monday, I was August level cranky. 

The humidity and heat were stifling. 

Last night we were bundled under blankets to watch a baseball game. 

Have mercy. 

Random #2

Our bird feeder leveled up this week in a bad way. 

As best as we can figure with our CSI interpretation, a hawk must have nabbed one of the diners. The body slid headless down between the two poles. 

I looked out and saw two bird paws sticking up and what was left of feathers and such were wedged at the bottom of the whole thing. 

The other birds were dining over head like nothing was out of sorts and all I can say is, nature can be violent. 

Random #3

I am officially finished except to host the 8th grade for their last hour of middle school. 

I made them chocolate chip cookies as that was the majority presence and they will help me clear any surfaces of moveable furniture to the shelving along the cabinets. 

Saying goodbye to the 7th grade boys got me a little teary. It was not reciprocated but that’s okay. 

It’s not the first time 12 year old boys have been less than emotional when I am experiencing some tears. 

Random #4

This is the latest I think I have ever gotten flowers out. 

Thankfully the weather, as mentioned above, has not been ideal for young pots of flowers anyway, but still…

Random #5

Russ bought a new grill and some of the parts were missing in the box. 

I just want to give a shout out to our local Menards people who were so kind and helpful. 

Customer service is not dead! 

What a blessing.
