Happy Friday thoughts <3

Well, here we are at the Friday stopping point. I jest.

It’s baseball season with a bit of Track finals and Lacrosse thrown in, plus we have soccer that seems to go year round. So the weekends are full to the brim, but at least Friday has a kind of shift in our mindset that is inherent to its nature. 

While I do report in at the store on Fridays, I love what I do and have never felt like it can be classified as “work.” It’s not just that I love the atmosphere of where I am employed. There are pretty things to look at and it’s fun to be part of the artistic side of displays, the business side of ordering and helping people with their purchases. 

In addition to all of this are the stories. When I worked at Talbots, one of the managers commented once that we are like clothing bartenders. Everyone has a story and somehow, over the register, a lot of them get shared. 

It is the perfect environment for me with short interactions that hold meaning. I can invest without being drained. 

All that being said, I felt like I didn’t have anything to share as we end the week. And yet, I don’t like not checking in with you all. 

So for today, I hope you are doing something you love. 

I hope you are connecting with people and sharing stories. 

I hope you have some fun planned for the weekend and some project that will bring improvement to your surroundings. 

And most of all, I hope you know….you are loved and matter much <3
