Right off the top of my head, here we go…

Random #1

John is coming home this weekend for an early birthday celebration.

I may be excited.

He has cooked up his favorite way to celebrate and invited some friends and of course family to play softball and then come back to the house for food and cake.

Ice cream cake.

Of course.

We are praying the tournament schedule for Graham plays nice and they can join us in celebrating Uncle John.

If you think of it, lift a prayer for us <3

Random #2

Aldi’s has had fresh flowers for $4.99 the last few times I have gone.

I love it.

There is just something about fresh flowers.

As they start to fade, I salvage any nice blooms and put in little vases around the house.

Anyone else love fresh flowers?

They also had this cool folding table for $16.99.

Perfect addition for overflow seating on the patio.

And no, I do not get kickbacks from Aldi’s.

I just love to pass along a good deal when I see it.

The heat.

Is ridiculous.

We have been walking when it is “cooler”… as in only 90 degrees instead of a hundred.

I know some of you all love this but have mercy. I am wilting quickly.

The weather man said we only have six more days of it, at least.

I covered my ears.

Random #5

We got to have these three for an overnight this week while Graham is at church camp.

Caroline forgot her blankets that she has slept with since forever.

It was not pretty when she realized it.

Joel shared his, of course, because he is Joel.

She survived.

We all did.

She slept all night but was sad again in the morning.

More sharing of blankets occurred while we watched Bluey.

When mom came from work, Caroline tearfully recounted the story.

Mom commiserated and I encouraged her that while it was a tough one, she made it through.

She was still standing on two feet and had weathered a bit of a storm well.

There will be more Sweet Caroline.

Add this victory to your arsenal to remember how you got through a rough patch and kept going <3
