A little bit of life lately
Welp…it’s another wild day on the prarie!
Storms abound according to the weather people and cancelations have changed our plans several times already.
I am hunkered down in sweatshirt and leggings, hoping to catch up on some much needed house maintenance and praying the power stays on.
I thought it would be fun to just share some recent photos from the spring festivities so here are a few events we have enjoyed.
We loved Grandparent’s Day for Joel and Caroline. Our years are ticking down for this and we will miss it terribly when the season is ended.
Caroline’s teacher had them do portraits of us and it was fun to see us in her eyes. Please note that she gave me a necklace because she knows…accessories make the outfit.

We opted to share the photo session with both sets of grandparents. I tell our little guys all the time how nice it is to have four grandparents who live nearby to love and encourage them.
We don’t take it for granted and feel very blessed to be a part of their lives.
Caroline has enjoyed playing volleyball in a clinic setting at school. They scheduled some games for them to get a feel for the sport and this one got to come after his practice to cheer her on.
She was thrilled when her daddy was able to join us and we think she might just have a future in this sport.
All four are playing a variety of sports, but we were able to sneak a girls’ only visit to the ballet this weekend.
We enjoyed having a similar day a year ago for the Nutcracker Ballet. I tried to replicate it this year in December but we could not coordinate calendars. I did a little research and found this production on Tia’s birthday. Thankfully everyone was willing to reserve the date and we drove down to enjoy this beautiful show together.
Tia found a fun place for lunch before and Miss Caroline tipped off the waiter that it was her birthday.
#38 for our girl.
The restaurant brought her a fun dessert and did the cutest celebration with a bubble gun thing that showered her in bubbles. We were so caught up in the moment, we missed the bubbles but just imagine them around our sweet Tia.
Now we face a rainy Monday…full of happy memories.
