Fall Favorites

Fall is winding down…you could feel it in the wind  blowing yesterday, the unseasonal and humid warmth as if summer was making it’s last attempt to remind us what the Midwest is like in August.

Just as the temperature reminded me of summer, the falling leaves spoke of soon-to-come snowfall…

So as bare branches are becoming more the norm….

increasingly….

I thought it a good day to remember some of my favorite moments of this season so far…. which seem to revolve somewhat around food, pumpkins and people I love….

like….

pumpkin spice latte…

and reasons to eat tiny candy bars….

and….the view from our patio…

and…. the way the sun just makes shadows so unique to the season…

and…watching people rake leaves

and jump in leaves….

and just people and leaves….

and….pumpkin patches and little boys….

 

and family ….

and …. well…. pumpkin tea and pumpkin cake….
