Spring Break 2026 …. pull up a chair <3
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step (Lao Tau) … or hop, skip, jump and a few cartwheels when traveling with children.
We were invited to tag along on the Maxwell’s California Adventure and were honored to be a part of it all.
So for my own journaling of memories and to share some of the sights and eats and stays with you if you are planning a trip that way, we will be recapping the week with photos, stories, links and such.
We flew Southwest and Zach assumed since we had children, everyone would have a child with them. As a head’s up, according to the Southwest administration , any human thirteen years and older is considered to be an adult.
No fault of Zach’s, Southwest was not kind in how they placed us all however our attendants were very nice and worked it out so that I could move up and sit with Joel and Graham after takeoff. Everyone else did have an adult and we were spread through the plane a bit, but we all agreed the upcharge for sitting together was ridiculous.
We had a layover in San Diego before catching our next flight to Fresno. We took out a loan and bought airport food, played cards and tried to stay awake.
We had a slight delay waiting for our flight and some of us may have gotten a little bored.
Since it was already going to be late night arrival, Zach and Russ contacted the rental company to make sure our cars would be available. Eventually we boarded for the short flight to Fresno. Seating was better and again our attendants were very nice on the flight.
All luggage arrived …. a blessing….and it was just a short wait for processing the cars…
We headed to the hotel and beds with plans to visit Yosemite in the morning.
Stay tuned…and feel free to walk around the cabin.
