When a wound won’t heal
I stole that line from a billboard here in town.
They have another one that promises “Complex Wound Care”.
I understand…not the physical wounds…but….
I understand wounds that will not heal, or at least seem to hang on persistently.
So as I am removing the decorations of Christmas from around the house…
s-l-o-w-l-y….
this speaks to me…
because a sweet little 3 1/2 year old had chapped lips on Christmas morning…
so we applied the balm and then just plopped it on a shelf…
which happened to be…
yeah…
A gentle reminder this morning….
for one like me, whose heart seems to drag around a large load of sentimentality and complexity and struggles with keeping the ponderings and musings under the authority of the sound mind I have been promised…
that there is balm … a healing…a restoring…
day in, day out…
Each and every moment, of each and every day…healing and forgiveness flow forth from the heart of Him who took on flesh, and gave up His life and now lives to intercede for us.
God bless you, each and every one of you, today…as you allow Him to heal those complex wounds <3
Perfect. Thank you so much for the work you are doing to help us having a closer relationship with Him!!!
I appreciate the encouragement! My prayer is always that somehow the words and thoughts expressed do exactly that!!!
